INTROUCTION:
The participants’ awareness of the tasks performed by directional drillers and how directional and horizontal wells are designed and optimized will grow as a result of the training session on directional, horizontal, and sidetrack drilling. Participants will be given instructions on planning and evaluating horizontal wells based on the objectives of the horizontal well as well as how to conduct correct planning for directional and horizontal wells. The fundamental applications and procedures for multilateral wells will also be discussed. Additionally, this GLOMACS training event will go into determining the needs to hit the target, forecasting the wellbore route based on previous data, and helping to solve related issues.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of this training seminar, participants will be able to:
- Interpret TVD, polar, rectangular coordinates, dogleg severity and the problems associated with it
- Interpret torque and drag and what factors affect those in the drilling process
- Understand main concepts associated to well path planning
- Recommend suitable measures to mitigate operational issues related to directional and horizontal drilling
- Understand main concepts associated to well construction of multilateral wells
ORGANISATIONAL BENEFITS
The organization will gain, in sending their employees to attend this particular training seminar, the following:
- Achieving the optimum design of well, and avoiding the risk
- Extending the well life and control it
- Ensuring the well integrity in all stages
PERSONAL BENEFITS
Â
- Obtain integrating knowledge to mitigate and eliminate the drilling problems
